so here i am, feeling marginalized in the northeast- scrounging hard to find a website that covers the deals happening in my neck of the woods- and *bam* there it is in black and white on moms need to know! so i’m sort of half-looking at this post about acme deals (what the hell is an acme anyway?), and i realize that (after spending a good half hour this morning perusing my weekend shaw’s flier) acme and shaw’s are related, and a good chunk of the deals are the same. it’s totally not a perfect system, but it’s a good way for me to be lazy and maybe find some extra deals i might not have seen before. at least half of mom needs to know’s coupon match-ups were good for my flier, and directed me toward some printables that i wouldn’t have otherwise noticed.
ok, maybe that wasn’t as earth shattering as it could have been, but it made my day. also, it looks like there’s some pretty hot bargains going down at shaw’s this weekend. a few that i might load up on:
-farm stand grape tomatoes- $1.49
-quaker, chewy, true delights, or simple harvest granola bars- $2/3
+ $5 off when you buy 10 of select quaker products.
i have a hoard of coupons of various varieties totaling about $6 off, making each box only $.40. you can print of some $1/2 here if you don’t have your own stash.
-snikiddy cheese puffs- 2/$5
these are amazing. so i went to their website and lo and behold, they advertised a coupon! except that i had to write them a love note, and possibly need to wait 48 hours. not soon enough!
-zatarains rice- 10/$10
can’t find them anymore, but there were some $1/3 printables for this making, each one only $.60. there were also some clippables in the 9/13 redplum for the same amount.
-zone perfect bars- 10/$10
you can get a bogo coupon here if you haven’t signed up for the VIP club yet. they let me print 2, so i’ll be getting 4 @ $.50/ea.
-birds eye steamfresh vegetables- 5/$10
i have a $.50/1 coupon that could potentially be doubled? although i still haven’t quite figured out the shaw’s doubling policy. regardless, $1.50 isn’t too bad, and according to my bible, the hotcouponworld coupon database, there’s better coupons floating around out there too.
– speed stick deoderant- $2
there’s a $1/2 coupon from the 9/27 smartsource, but if you were smart, you printed off a bunch of the $1.50/1 coupons that were around a while ago (i have one left!), to bring it all down to $.50.
-schick quattro disposable razors- 2/$10
the 9/13 smartsource had $3/1 coupons here in maine, so $2 for really good razors is nothing to shake a stick at (that is, if you’re into stick shaking).
